The blockbuster fight between boxing icon Mike Tyson and social media star Jake Paul finally takes place TONIGHT live on Netflix.
Tyson was once one of the most destructive heavyweights around, but hasn’t fought professionally in 19 years.
He now returns at the age of 58 to take on a man 31 years younger in front of a 70,000-plus crowd at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
The card will kick-off at 7pm local US time on Friday night – that is 1am UK time on Saturday morning.
The lightweight title clash between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano will precede the main event and that is scheduled to take place after 9pm local time – 3am in the UK on Saturday.
Paul vs Tyson will then go head-to-head after 10pm local time – 4am in the UK on Saturday.

Serrano brands Taylor a ‘dirty’ fighter
A cacophony of boos ring around the AT&T Stadium as the scorecards are read out.
Serrano then takes to the mic to insist that Taylor’s headbutts were intentional.
Serrano: “I dared to be great tonight, I am the featherweight champion of the world. It is what it is.
“Every time you get a cut, it bothers you, she kept headbutting you, but we knew that is what she do.
“No matter how many cuts I have on my face, I will go until the very end.
“I think 100 per cent [the headbutts were intentional]. Using her head, dirty.”
-
Taylor wins it controversially
Ohhh that is controversial! All three judges see it the same way – 95-94 Katie Taylor to hand the champion a unanimous decision.
The CompuBox totals had Serrano outlanding Taylor 327 to 217.
-
Taylor vs Serrano – Round 10
Taylor and Serrano go the distance. The entire stadium is on its feet.
The feeling at ringside is that Serrano has won it. Regardless of the result, we need a trilogy.
-
Taylor vs Serrano – Round 9
It is rock em sock em robots here. A true war of attrition. Both women are pushing each other to their limits.
Serrano’s cut has held up and we head into the final round. This is truly breathtaking stuff.
-
Taylor vs Serrano – Round 8
Taylor has been deducted a point for leading with her head.
That could be absolutely crucial to the final result.
-
Taylor vs Serrano – Round 7
Taylor and Serrano are letting their hands fly. Back-and-forth action here at the AT&T Stadium.
The Irishwoman looks to target the cut while Serrano is investing heavily to the body.
-
Taylor vs Serrano – Round 6
The doctor takes a close look at that cut and decides to allow the bout to continue.
Serrano isn’t deterred by the gash and continues applying the pressure.
-
Taylor vs Serrano – Round 5
If that cut gets any worse then the doctor will have to stop it.
Luckily, as at least four rounds have been completed, it will go to a technical decision in that eventuality.
Serrano is ahead on my scorecard but not by much. Taylor is growing into the contest and always finishes fights well.
-
Taylor vs Serrano – Round 4
The Netflix stream is absolutely terrible. Taylor vs Serrano is buffering like mad but amongst the chaos, a nasty cut is opened up above Serrano’s right eye from an accidental headbutt.
Serrano pouring on the pressure here. Every single punch is a vicious one.
-
Taylor vs Serrano – Round 3
More of the same in the third round. Serrano on the front foot, Taylor on the back foot – both women exchanging in the pocket.
Taylor doing a good job of tying up Serrano when she gets backed up into the corners.
-
Taylor vs Serrano – Round 2
Taylor responds well with some fast flurries. She seems to have her feet underneath her.
Serrano looks dangerous but Taylor is keeping herself out of harm’s way with her feet and raw-rodding jab.
-
Taylor vs Serrano – Round 1
They carry on right from where they left off. Taylor boxing on the back foot, sticking and moving while Serrano stalks her adversary.
WOW! Right at the end of the opening stanza, Serrano lands a big overhand left at the bell that stuns Taylor.
She will want to stay out of those corners if she hopes to win this fight.
-
Taylor vs Serrano underway
Undisputed super-lightweight champion Katie Taylor and challenger Amanda Serrano are in the ring and we are underway.

Taylor and Serrano up next
Think what you want about the main event but there is no doubting the quality on display in the co-feature attraction.
When Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano duked it out for the undisputed lightweight titles in April 2022 it was an instant classic.
Now, they run it back for all four major sanctioning body belts at the weight above as part of what is anticipated to be the most-watched sports event of the 21st century.
-
Barrios vs Ramos is a draw
The judges couldn’t come to an agreement and so Mario Barrios vs Abel Ramos has been declared a split draw.
One judge had it 114-112 Ramos, another scored it 116-110 Barrios while the third official couldn’t split them at 113-113.
Barrios hangs onto his WBC welterweight belt after a ferocious fight that saw both men exchange knockdowns.

Paul vs Tyson predictions
Here’s how some of the biggest names in boxing see Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson going down.
Lennox Lewis: “Mike Tyson’s gonna win. He’s not that old. Don’t take him too softly. We’re one year apart,” Lewis told FOX 29 in Philadelphia.
“You can fight somebody like that and do well, because the person you’re fighting is not a true fighter and there’s a hundred things that you’ve forgotten that he’s learning.”
Roy Jones Jr: “Well, I like Mike, probably by decision,” Jones Jr told talkSPORT earlier this month. “But if he chooses to go out and take him out, I think he can.
“However, I feel like if he feels comfortable he will just box and enjoy himself because why get in shape to go one round…
“I don’t fear for Mike and how old he is. Mike is still hard to hit and Mike still hits hard as hell.”
Anthony Joshua: “He [Mike Tyson] is older now,” he said on the Jonathan Ross Show.
“I pray that he comes out healthy. I think Jake Paul [wins] because of youth – that’s the only thing.”
Tyson Fury: “If Mike Tyson hits anybody, I don’t care if he’s 90, he’s going to knock them out cold isn’t he?” he told the MMA Hour.
“He’s Iron Mike Tyson, the baddest man on the planet.
“Jake Paul is very experienced now and he’s had a lot of fights but obviously, I have to back Mike Tyson for the knockout as he always backs me.”

Ramos returns the favour
In a dramatic turn of events, Ramos drops Barrios with a clubbing right hand in the sixth round. The champion looks very unsteady on his feet and is rocked again before being saved by the bell.

Ramos down in the second
Mario Barrios is in complete control through two rounds. Ramos’ glove was close to touching the canvas in the opening stanza and he’s been knocked down for real in the second round after eating a stiff right hand.
The challenger shakes it off well and sees out the frame. This could be a wake-up call for Ramos.

Taylor Target
Katie Taylor plans to set the record straight against Amanda Serrano in the co-main event and defend her status as undisputed world light-welterweight champion.
Taylor won an all-action contest with Serrano by a split decision in 2022 on a historic night at Madison Square Garden, in the first women’s boxing match to headline at the famous New York venue.
The duo will add more weight to their legacy with this fight at AT&T Stadium set to be broadcast by Netflix, which has more than 260million paid memberships globally.
“Well, I believe that I won the last fight clearly and I’ve just got to go in there on Friday night and beat her again,” Taylor said in the final press conference.
“I’ve put my body through the trenches over these last few months and it’s an absolute privilege to be here on the same card as a legend in the sport.
“It’s absolutely an amazing opportunity that we both have and I just can’t wait to step in there and showcase what I can do again and get another win.”
This will be Taylor’s first fight in almost a year after she produced a stellar display to claim a majority decision victory over Chantelle Cameron in Dublin last November.
It avenged Taylor’s first defeat of her professional career to Cameron earlier in 2023.
Serrano thought she may have done enough to beat Taylor at Madison Square Garden and produced a punishing fifth round, but the Irishwoman showed her mettle to roar back.
Taylor added: “I think for every single fighter, we’re always prepared for moments like that. That’s why we train so hard. When you’re in shape, when you’re fit, you recover so well from those moments.
“I take a lot of reassurance and a lot of confidence from that because I took her biggest shots and I wasn’t stumbled, I wasn’t moved and I won the second half of that fight. I take a lot of reassurance going into the rematch because of that.”

Main Card Starts
Tonight’s event is getting under way on Netflix NOW.
It is the streaming giant’s first venture into live combat sports.
The fight is available to all Netflix subscribers, meaning an estimated 16.7 million UK households can watch the action for no extra cost.
While Tyson and Paul have top billing, the fight of the night is undoubtedly Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano.
Ireland’s Taylor claimed a split-decision victory against Serrano in April 2022 to retain her undisputed lightweight crown in an all-time classic.
Here’s the running order for the main card…
- 1am – Neeraj Goyat vs. Whindersson Nunes – middleweight (6x3min rounds)
- 2am – Mario Barrios (c) vs. Abel Ramos – for WBC welterweight title (12x3min rounds)
- 3am – Katie Taylor (c) vs. Amanda Serrano – for WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO, and The Ring lightweight titles (10x2min rounds)
- 4am – Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson – heavyweight (8x2min rounds)

Head To Head
Jake Paul will be aiming to join the exclusive group of boxers that have beaten Mike Tyson tonight.
The bout will be counted as professional, meaning the result will impact both fighters’ records.
Tyson was an undisputed heavyweight champion and set multiple records in boxing.
He holds the title of the youngest-ever boxer to win the WBC, WBA and IBF world heavyweight belts. And on top of that, he was the first person in history to hold all of those titles at the same time.
‘Iron Mike’ won every one of his first 37 fights before tasting his first loss five years into his career in 1990 against Buster Douglas in the most shocking upset in boxing history.
Following that defeat, he picked up another 13 victories but lost twice to Evander Holyfield – the second in disgrace.
A shadow of his old self, he went on to lose Lennox Lewis, Danny Williams and then Kevin McBride, in what was his last pro fight.
Meanwhile, Paul was a YouTuber before venturing into boxing and started his professional career by knocking out a fellow social media start in Miami back in January 2020.
The American floored his UK social media foe Gib three times in the opener, causing the referee to stop the obvious mismatch.
Paul next knocked out former NBA star Nate Robinson in the second round of a rather bizarre fight in November 2020.
He has since faced and beaten a number of Mixed Martial Arts fighters but suffered a first career defeat to Tommy Fury – the first genuine boxer he has faced – in early 2023.
